At our recent socially distanced committee meeting the potential re-opening of ARCA was discussed. In the near future we shall be able to accommodate small groups with 20 people being the maximum number.

In order for ARCA to be Covid-19 secure on re-opening we will have in place the following practices and processes:

-Only the main hall to be used for meetings: committee room and kitchen unavailable

-A one way system throughout the premises

-Appropriate, clear signage

-Readily accessible sanitising stations

When booking ARCA, hirers will receive a specific Covid-19 risk assessment explaining possible areas  of risk and appropriate actions to be taken.

Please note that there will be no ARCA AGM this year.

Due to the ban on public gatherings of more that two people we have to announce the ARCA hall is now closed for the foreseeable future. Thanks to all our regular hirers and members who have supported us. We look forward to seeing you all again as soon as we are allowed. In the meantime keep healthy. At an extraordinary meeting of the ARCA committee on Monday March 16th it was decided that upcoming ARCA events be cancelled until further notice as a result of the current health situation. Therefore the ARCA dance on Saturday March 21st and the AGM on Friday March 27th will not be taking place.

Some groups/associations with a small number of members may choose to use the ARCA premises and therefore we are ensuring that additional cleaning takes place. We would ask anyone using ARCA to follow current health guidelines as indicated by the Government and the new signage in the entrance area.

Our monthly newsletter will continue in order to update all members with the developing situation. We urge everyone to stay safe and healthy in these difficult times.

Many thanks to everybody who came to our August special event. It was a very successful occasion with great food being supplemented by a wide variety of super live music from Chicory Tip.

Following the success of last year we welcome the return of Chicory Tip and the Hog Roast! Tickets are available from Marion £15 for members and £17 for non-members. The fun is scheduled to begin at 7pm.

Back in response to popular demand! This year our Bat and Trap event will be on Sunday 21st July at 2pm. Members and friends are welcome to come along to enjoy this traditional Kent outdoor activity.

A big thank you to all of our members and friends who attended the recent Acropolis dance at ARCA. Many people enjoyed the varied selection of music on offer and it was good to see some new faces!
