The Arts Society Canterbury is a leading arts charity which opens up the world of the arts through a network of local Societies and national events and works to advance decorative and fine arts education and appreciation, alongside promoting the conservation of our artistic heritage.
With inspiring monthly lectures given by some of the country’s top experts, together with days of special interest, educational visits and cultural holidays, The Arts Society is a great way to learn, have fun and make new and lasting friendships. Members can also become involved in worthwhile conservation volunteering projects in churches, museums, castles and stately homes.
The Canterbury branch of The Arts Society has its monthly lecture meetings on the third Wednesday of the month in the morning and has occasional study days in the hall. It holds its quarterly committee meetings in the committee room.

2023 AGM Report
As far as our Society’s involvement with ARCA is concerned, we would like to mention our very successful 50th Anniversary Party held in the hall on 15th March this year. Thanks for the cooperation of all helpers at the Hall both before and on the day.
Everyone in our Society appreciates all the work that goes on in running the building and grounds so successfully. Our monthly meetings and occasional extra events in the Hall always run without a hitch.
The Society is now back to operating as normal, though our membership is somewhat reduced. No doubt membership numbers will rise again in the near future.
Sue Cumber, TASC Vice Chair.
