2026 Report
During the year we have had speakers on vaied subjects.
David Bowdler entertained us with Music of the 50’s 60’s and 70’s playing his saxophone ad flute. Clive Nutman gave a talk on Madagascar Enchanted Isle with slides. Helen Kendall-Tobias was next with a talk and slides about Colour and Fashion. Neil Tonge entertained us with his writing of the ‘Horrible Histories’ Books which are now on TV and films. Meanie Gibson-Barton’s talk on ‘Three Women, One Man’. but has sworn us to secrecy about the talk. a talk on Carice Cliff from Clare Boggia and finally our January meeting this year the speaker was postpned to our Tea Party in February as too few members could make it due to illness.
Our outings and events have been Afternoon Tea at Dobbies Garden Centre in April, our Birthday lunch in July had been booked at the Royal Oak in Blean but due to closure was transfered to The Oyster Bed at Whitstabe. In September we held a Garden Party with guests and were entertained by the local Ukulele club. Top team quiz was next. An outing to Ramsgate Garden Centre with lunch in October and our Christmas Party in December. Our Tea Party this February was well attended with members and guests enjoying a lovely tea with Keven Tooher giving a talk on Colour all year round in the garden.
So, we look forward to the year April 2026 to March 2027 and enjoying more shared learning, fun and friendship.
